If I remember correctly all the A4 b7 have sideways engines. So the gearbox mounts don't take as much shunt as the front ones from the engine twisting rather than pulling on the dogbone mount on the gearbox if it was a normal way round engine.

They will have some movement, from my experience Audi mounts are generally softer than most due to comfort factors etc.
There doesn't look to be any rips in it but I guess they do eventually wear out and stretch some. Probably wouldn't hurt to change that they're cheap enough.
