No whirring sound, and keeping the revs above 3000rpm is the major part of the sport mode. You need to plant your right foot to the floor... and yes, the 'strain' appears as the car is waiting for you to take your foot off the brake, but that's normal... just don't sit at the lights for too...

Yeah, "MAF" is what was faulty on mine... it was a quick "while you wait" fix.

I had it happen a couple of times, and what-ever it is that controls the air mass was faulty... they blamed it on dodgy fuel the first time.

true... even my local car wash comments on it, and I get stopped in petrol stations and asked about it regularly... don't think that would happen with a smaller diesel version.

you don't buy the 3.2 if you are concerned about MPG... you buy it for so many other things, but never MPG

With respect, I don't want to step down in performance with my car choice... just something different or better.

get both done on one side... a lot cheaper than a new wheel, and they look identical

it's a feature... more power assistance at low speeds, less when fast.

I'd love the RS4... but 50k of car... do I really want to spend money on that, or still have fun in a Brera and keep the dosh. Don't think I could afford an RS4 anyway.

originally, the company car was to reduce profits (and therefore corporation tax) and I will be looking into just getting the money and paying for the car mayself... something the accountants can advise me on I guess.

Trouble is... 2+2 seats... am I going to get a baby seat in the back? I could get the (future) wife a car of her own with the left over money(?)
