Not to pi$$ on your fire but have you done an insurance quote for an S3 I'd imagine its going to cost you a small fortune esp (>£1.5-2k) if you only have 1years ncb!!!! Might be worth while keeping your oil burner, stay safe and save for a new S3 a year or so down the line. Its a good feeling...

I use my car on a 60mile round trip everyday (95% dual carrage way) the best I have ever reached is 32.4mpg on DIS that is sitting between 68-70mph no faster! car has done 3600miles. I dont bother with high octane fuels! to expensive :( If you redline it at all this will average 22mpg. Mike

I was told that the modern engines don't need to be run-in as they used to. However it was suggested to "take it easy" for the first 500miles! Hope that helps, Mike
