well the only problem with second hand bits is that there is no garuntee that it would be fault free! Limp mode faults I've heard are very common around the earlier models, so I could end up spending 1500 on a used box/unit etc and end up having a similar problem or just not solve the original...

problem I have guys is my DSG mechatronic unit is failing on a regular basis, putting me into limp mode at least once every journey!! :( I do love the paddles though don't get me wrong.. I just can't think of a cheap way to fix it cos I can't sell the car how it is, I can't afford a new mech...

yea theres a few guys with threads on here and they say it's not a great deal louder with normal driving but just gives the normally bland diesel noise a bit more whistle and grunt with foot down! Driving noise is the thing I miss the most owning a diesel!! :( it also reduces the smoke...

a split pipe would actually make sense as it does sometimes seem a little flat when I put my foot down and also a very slight judder on idol... A leak test should be a good place to start I guess!? The back box delete looks good... how much louder is it?

i do give it a boot probably once a week at least so it's not like I never give it a clear out... i'm talking quit a massive amount of smoke here, more than the normal deisel fumes you see! i'm guessing if it were a boost leak of some kind, it would be a lot more constent even under small...

damian, do the spacers with bolts listed on DPM performance come with all standard head bolts or do they come with 1 safety/locking wheel nut for each side as well??
