Horrible Morning! - No lights on dash

Sorry to resurrect a week old thread, but I might have some info that could help someone else doing a search. My brother's work had a 2007 A3 Sportback come into his bodyshop the other day. All was fine for a couple of days of moving it around, then they went to move it again and the dash was...

    S-line seat covers

I can't help with your question as such, but just be careful what ones you do get as they'll need to be suitable for seats that have airbag's in them. A normal seat cover that doesn't cater for airbag's isn't good if you (god forbid) have an accident and they try to deploy.

    Trickle charger

I highly recommend the CTEK ones too. I've got one attached to the wall in my garage and the other end of the plug is hard wired into my Porsche. I just drive into the garage and plug it in. Been using it non stop for about 8 years and both the charger and battery are still perfect. A great...

Air ride boot install pics please, car booked in with LOW STANDARD anyone used them ?

I know very little about air, but love the look and idea of it. What's the ride like compared to the standard suspension? Is it bouncy or harder or anything? Do you lose some of the handling? I'm happy with the ride quality and handling of my BE, would the air compromise any of this?

    A3 2010 stop/start

As above, I've found that it won't work under these conditions too: The interior air temp is a lot different to the temp specified on the climate control The engine isn't up to temperature Your seatbelt isn't on The brake pedal isn't pressed A DPF regen is taking place The manual says other...

    Lowering car to s-line height

I'm not sure you'll notice any difference tbh. When I got my BE it was parked next to my 07 Sport for a while and I struggled to see much difference in ride height. As you say you've got 17's then I assume you have a Sport, as the SE's had smaller wheels. You might be better off with some...

Making a 2005 SportbackTFSI into a Black Edition

I reckon you should go for it. Not necessarily the full front end facelift conversion, but if you did the bits you listed then i think it'd look pretty smart. S Line bumpers and spoiler and a black grill would look nice I think. Oh, and speak to NHN about getting the facelift LED rear lights...

    Led number plate bulbs

Have a read of this thread. We're all waiting with cash in hand for the first batch to arrive. http://www.audi-sport.net/vb/a3-s3-sportback-8p-chassis/185621-my2010-car-required-led-bulb-testing.html Jump to page 2 for pics.

    Adaptive Lights

I think the autolevel thing is also on bixenon and not just the adaptives. I'm sure mine are standard bixenon, but still do the levelling thing when I turn them on. Does anyone know why they don't always move up and down everytime I turn them on. They seem the right level, but don't always...

How to spot a Black Edition

Not quite true. Mine's a 10 plate Black Edition with the titanium RS4's and has stop start. It has the single exhaust but not the rota's. Also £30 a year road tax. My 10 plate BE had the following as standard: Half leather S Line embossed seats (some may be upgraded to full leather though)...

MY2010 Car required for LED bulb testing

That's a really clever design :respekt: I'll definitely be having a set off you. I've been watching this thread for ages and was dreading you coming up with a price that was too much to justify spending on a couple of bulbs, but £15 is a very fair price. I've just got a couple of questions...

CV boot failed within 10 months

Some people go the other way and avoid the genuine. On my old '07 A3 I had a cv gaiter go and bought a new one from Audi. I was surprised at how rigid it was. Almost like plastic. A guy at works dad is a taxi driver and uses an A4 (or Passat, I can't remember) and kept going through the...

    Coming home lights Plug E

If you're doing the mod where you use a wire to touch to earth, then it's worth remembering that this wire only has to be earthed out once and doesn't even need to be left connected. You put the wire in the connector and then touch it to earth. If you were to accidentally touch it to earth a...

Audi Trip Computer fuel Range .........

Sadly that'll change after you drive for a while. It calculates the range based on the most recent data it has about your consumption AFAIK. So if you were getting really high mpg figures just before you filled up then I suppose it's think you were going to carry on like that. I always enjoy...

    A3 - 16months & 38,000+ miles update

There isn't a car in our car park that doesn't have discs with some degree of corrosion  Even the 13 plate 5 Series and 61 plate Boxster have got corrosion there. Did you get anywhere with the stalling and strange noise when hot? That's what I'd be more worried about.

    What psi do you run?

I just go with what Audi say on the sticker in the door shut. As I generally only have just me and my wife in the car, I went with the pressures for up to 3 people and 1 suitcase (?). 42 at the front, 36 at the rear in my 225/40x18's. It feels fine, I'm not getting any unusual wear and I get...
