I put BBS Calito wheels with Dunlop Wintersport 4D tyres on this year...... it was the first time I used them but the difference, even in just the colder temperatures was night and day...lots more grip in all conditions, fantastic in the snow and quiet as well.
Sold the S3 now so the...
I've got both, and the TTS to me is the better car ( it will be even better when N8 comes down to remap it )!!
It really boils down to what you want from the car...TTS handles better and is faster ( though not by a lot ) but will never be as practical as a hatchback.....As for the hairdresser...
Wheel swap done, so thanks all.
I think I'll follow your advice and just leave the front springs.....The new owner will wonder why it handles so much better than the other S3's they've tried..lol..!!
Just been given build week 25 for the A4, so late June/Early July hopefully ... Can't wait.
Hi folks,
Well, I have ordered an A4 so I guess the S3 needs to go back to standard before going back to the dealer.....consequently, I need to do the following :
Genuine RS3 Alloys and Goodyear Assy 2 tyres ( all with 5mm left ) - Straight swap for OE 18 inch BE Rotor's with good tyres in the...
18 inch BBS Calito alloys with Dunlop Wintersport 4D's.....tyres only used once this winter so virtually brand spanking !
Sorry moderators, I know this isn't the Classified's, so I wont use it as a selling board as that wasn't my intention:thumbsup:.
Looked through the A4 brochure last night...
I'm sure we can come to some arrangement, but I would need to source OE BE rotors in 18inch with virtually new tyres first, and then pay to get the original springs put back, so leave it with me for the time being and we'll see how things go.
The new car won't be coming until June/July anyway...
Already got the TTS roadster as the weekend toy/wife's car.....looking at the A4 3.0tsi 245 Quattro Black Edition and will probably order it next week.
Just got a job which means lots of mileage and a company car so may be selling the S3....keep your eyes peeled in the Classified section for a mint 18mth old Phantom Black S3 with genuine RS3 alloys and Eibach pro-kit springs along with Shark Stg1 tune.....now off to stealers to look at...
No problem.
As long as your own paint isn't cracked, then once the dent is removed, you should be able to just carefully polish off the paint from the other vehicle.
Had this done to mine ( phantom black ) and sounds like it was in exactly the same place.....these guys ( as long as you get a...
Paintless Dent Removal is your best bet....try to get someone close to you who is recommended either by the guys on here or by your Audi dealer....cost will be anything from £60-£80 ish.
Alternatively you can do a Google search for PDR guys in your area, but there are good and bad ones so look...
I always clean the cars I get as loaners when mine is at the stealers as well......Just think that it doesn't take long, I enjoy it, I get to drive a clean car and it makes them realise that I will look after things that I borrow from them which can pay dividends ( I have been given loaners that...
I don't want to be a stick-in-the-mud, but be careful with insurance. If you are staying with tyre options which are available on other versions of the 8P, then fine but if you stray away from the manufacturers options, then you may find issues with the insurance cover if anything happens.
They...
You could overcome the 'big tyre' illusion by painting a thin white pinstripe on the outer edge of the black section of the rim, nearest the tyre.....not sure what it would look like, but why not put a thin pinstripe tape piece on one wheel to see first, so no current paintwork is damaged and...
If you fit what is a 'taller' tyre on the car whilst keeping the original wheel size, then you change the rolling radius and therefore the gearing and the speedo will be altered as deanshaw24 correctly says, which is a p-in-the-a just for a smoother ride.
Why don't you adjust the current tyre...
Manual gearbox is only available on the new S3 apparently, not on the RS variants which will only be 'flappy-paddle' when they arrive !!!!
Now a manual RS3.....that would be perfection !!
