About alltyresandwheels2010 - they gave me a partial refund of £20 which makes it a reasonable 'second hand deal'. I had taken pics to back up my complaint but they didn't ask for any evidence. If they sort out their packaging I reckon they'd be a good bet.
Thx for the info Mike. Mine is chain drive so I shouldn't worry about it.
I've had quite a few motors in my time (belt and chain) and have never had to replace the water pump in any of them.
Is this just another scaremonger tactic by Audi dealers to get more out of our wallets?
I've had a problem with one of my wheels - I wasn't driving...really!! I now have to replace the rim and the tyre. Does anyone know where I can source Kenda Kaiser tyres in Northern Ireland?
I sourced a brand new rim from a company called alltyresandwheels2010 on Ebay but it arrived, bare, in a...
Thx everybody for the advice.
I wasn't worried about grip (I miss those little oversteer moments in my Primera GT).
I was worried about the Quattro drive-train and any possible big bills!
:blackrs4:
I wasn't worried about the warranty, I just wanted to get a good service so that, if I passed it on, any purchaser would be confident of it's provenance.
Besides the smaller problems I have had with this company they managed to make a mess of my service record.
After I had the car serviced for...
If you live in Northern or Southern Ireland and you own a Seat, Skoda, VW or an Audi I would recommend that you keep well away from any Isaac Agnew VAG service companies.
I have had sh*t service from them and I thought that I had just been unlucky. After many communications with said company and...
Well Eddy,
I did get a reply (in letter form!) from the MD, Richard Eakin, and I felt it was as condescending and patronising as the replies I had received from his subordinate (Richard Armstrong). Their answer to my problems re: my service record anomalies was to provide letters explaining...
Hi Mike.
Thanks for taking the time to read my longish post and for your reply.
Why I went back(?):
I live in N. Ireland and this company seems to have the only Audi approved service centres (2) here. I used to service my cars myself but I as I had paid so much for my Audi I thought that a...
I haven't read every comment on here so, sorry if I'm repeating someone else.
I have had an absolutely horrendous experience with my local, franchised Audi dealer. You know the type - lots of glass, lots of 'suits', free coffee and scones and not a mechanic in sight (they might be dirty(!?).
I...
I tried opening and closing the bonnet but this didn't work. I'm in the middle of replacing the rear calipers (seized), disks and pads (after only 53k genuine miles! I have already had to replace the front disks and pads!!). Audi have made it really hard to remove the caliper carriers. Splined...
My pos cover broke very easily when opening it - cheap non heat-resistant plastic?
There is no neg (ground/earth) provided and finding a good neg contact wasn't easy. I found an earth strap down the right side (from the front) of the rads but it's awkward to get at. Any other earth was to...
They must have brought it out recently but it still doesn't cover the Quattro, 3.2L or S3.
I'll probably buy one anyway in the hope that it covers 'all the usual suspects'.
Thx sub39h.
Thx to everyone who posted here.
I hadn't used the car for a while and had to charge the batt. This meant leaving the bonnet open all night. The problem started when I closed the bonnet.
Anyone got any idea where the bonnet microswitch is located? Is it open or closed circuit when the bonnet is...
Hi
I'm having a problem with my alarm. My 'door open' warning shows bonnet open when it is securely closed. This is messing up the alarm (no hazard flashes when remotely locked and alarm sounds after a while). This is also messing up the wash wipe as the ECU thinks the bonnet is not closed...
Thx for the replies guys.
Kenda came with the new alloys I bought for my car. They're well known for their m/bike tyres and they're just moving into the car market so they were cheap. I must admit they're much quieter than the originals (can't remember the make) and since my 1st post on this...
