I’m exploring my options to lower the s3 a little bit. It’s far too high and looks gash.
it’ll probably ruin the warranty on the dampers but I just hate how high it is.
I believe the rs3 saloon sits lower, is this correct? If so, are the dampers the same or different? I guess the rs3 saloon...
Are there any datalogger options? Or the availability to flash custom maps? I used to use mhd on my old bmw, which you will undoubtedly be aware of. It was a great system. We all relies on taking regular logs and uploading to datazap to ensure the health of our engines.
also with the help of...
no not mine from new, but I’m doubtful the previous owner stuck them on purpose. I checked the launch counter on it and it had never been launched in its life. I think the previous owner was a lady that just used to poodle about in it.
I’m aware of coding out the motors, also unplugging them...
Anybody suffered with their exhaust valves being stuck open? I’ve always thought the car sounded quite noisy even in confort.
stuck a borescope up the exhausts today to find out the butterfly valves are wide open.
switch drive select modes, you can hear the motors attempt to operate but the...
Strange thing I noticed... I seem to be able to do rather a lot with the mmi when I’m driving. Like I can read the news or go in to phone and read text messages.
Is this normal behaviour, or has a previous owner coded video in motion?
The biggest negative for me is Audi voiding my warranty for the suspension because I’ve lowered the car. If I could have come up with a solution which was easily reversible, it would Mean I could switch back.
I take your point though, your way is certainly the right way to go about it. In...
the pulsar I had, had a similar system. Typical for the era really. I replaced it with electronic boost control which gave me full control from the driving seat. I miss the simplicity of this kind of tuning... using an safc to modify maf sensor signals etc.
I’d also be interested to know just...
I understand that mag ride settings are all calculations from given sensors, but let me explain further and see what you think.
let’s say the standard setting of the car is 315mm from the centre of the wheel to the top of the arch. You lower the car, and the car then sees a reading of 295mm. So...
I’ve been looking at this myself. There’s a long thread somewhere where Djalix is investigating it... resulting in a bit of a row with someone with more front than Blackpool!:blow:
I was going to lower mine and then remove springs for servicing or warranty work. Was hoping I could change coding...
I take your point, but you would hope that technology has helped things improve somewhat since the 90’s. Was the cooling radiator for the chargecooler fan cooled (effectively) on the st205 for example? The st205 wasn’t the kind of car that would monitor intake temps and limit boost to reduce set...
I currently put v power or super in my s3 when I fill it up. This is partly habit because I’ve had cars mapped to take advantage of it in the past, and partly because I’m making the assumption that it’s a requirement of an s3.
My old m3 used to state 98 minimum on the dashboard. I’ve not seen...
I didn’t realise the intercooler was day in between the radiator and the air con condenser. Definitely a bit of a design flaw. Normally the air con condenser is first in line. Which is at the front on the s3? Is it definitely engine cooling?
most modern cars, BMW’s at least, have gone over to...
If it's any help, I've tried a 3 sim in mine and it worked fine. No configuration required either.
When I put the sim in, the Audi LTE signal bars disappeared, and a couple of minutes later the 3 bars appeared, not LTE, cant remember if it was 3G or 4G though.
