Thanks for that, just what I was wanting to hear.
I’ve sat in one and was very impressed with the interior quality and then I drove it and was even more impressed with the performance.
Overall a very tasty package and quite understated in the looks department which really appeals to me.
Out of...
The one I test drove was red and I'm not normally a fan of red cars but this one looked pretty good to be honest.
There's not a lot of choice colour wise, quite limited in fact which is a bit of a let down.
I'm popping into the local main dealer to have a look at a silver one, I'll see if that...
Thanks for that, very enjoyable viewing. If I was 20 years younger it’s something I would definitely consider but it’s a bit too extreme for me now.
I’m a sheep not a shepherd unfortunately, I want to blend in with the flock and not stand out from it.
The Skoda seems understated but with a good...
I’ve had my fingers burnt before with the DSG. Turned out to be very costly and not an experience I’m comfortable repeating.
I know people rave about them but I’d rather stick with a manual gearbox.
I'm looking to pay about £22000, for that I should be able to get hold of a pre-reg, it seems to be the going rate on Auto Trader.
There might be some better deals in the new year, I'm in no particular rush and can wait until the right one comes along.
It's definitely got to be the manual...
Not really looked at other brands, to be honest I’d rather stay within the VAG group mainly down to past experience and confidence in the group.
I’ve just taken a test drive in the Octavia and was very impressed overall, especially with the power, it really surprised me just how quick it was...
My beloved A3 has just turned 3 years old and my thoughts are now on which car to go for next.
Ideally I’m after something with a bit more power but would prefer a petrol engine with a manual gearbox, sadly there’s not much choice in the Audi range at the moment which meets this criteria.
The...
Originally we were going to wait for the new Q3 to come out, the T-roc wasn’t even on the radar but we happened to see one parked up and that was it. Next thing I knew we were in a VW dealership signing paperwork. It really is a good looking thing and a hell of a lot cheaper as well.
Just a quick update on this post.
Picked up this VW T-roc 1.5 EVO for my good lady today. She’s blown away with it and I must admit I’m rather impressed also. Even better news, I’ve managed to persuade her to let me keep the A3 as well. What a result!
Never really been a fan of the basic Q2, the rear end just doesn’t look right to me somehow, I think it’s the square shape of the light cluster. The interior is spot on though as @DrEskimo says why didn’t they use it in the Q3 instead of the A1 interior.
My search is continuing but I’m in no...
I know my place... Or at least that's the impression I like to give out.
As with most us men we have our ways and means of getting the result we really want.
Especially when it comes to a new car.
Are you with me brother ? :whip:
You’re absolutely right, the Black Edition is a cracking looking car. We’ve seen one in camouflage green and it is stunning. Didn’t take it for a test drive at the time because it was an automatic and I was really after a manual box but after a few words of wisdom from some fellow forum members...
We’ve had a look at an R-Line Tiguan and they are very impressive but a big car on the whole. The Q3 would be better but the interior is now a bit dated compared to the Tiguan.
In all honesty I’m loathed to get rid of the A3, it’s such a pretty, well proportioned car and I still give it an...
HaHa.....now that’s something I haven’t thought of, I’ll definitely run that one by her. If I don’t post again, please avenge my death.
Your passion for SUV’s obviously runs deep. I like it.
I’m 100% with you on this one but needs must I’m afraid.
At least the “strife” meets both the SUV stipulations in that she’s an elderly yummy mummy (well in my eyes anyway).
As for her sitting in the back, it’d take a braver man than me to suggest that to her, if you’re up to the challenge...
