Why are S3 brakes so horrendous

Mine are stable even under very heavy braking at high speed, though they'll overheat if I do it regularly. Try getting more air to the discs. The TT RS uses some lo-tech plastic scoops to achieve that. LCR brakes will do the job even better, but at a cost. Its not solely the disc diameter that...

Removing the passenger airbag on a S3

I followed the instructions in the manual on how to remove the glovebox, which went quite smoothly. I also removed the T25 and T30 torx bolts holding the brackets on to the dashboard frame. Now I'm stuck, the airbag unit is loose, but I can't see how to get the thing out. Can't make head or...

Hi, need to replace the front passenger airbag -how do I remove it ? I've found the torx screws behind the plastic cover and the two in the glovebox. What else needs to be removed? I understand I need to remove the battery before disconnecting the airbag unit itself. Thanks

    Brakes won't bleed!!

Good have them working - the reason they're swapped round is that the calipers were fitted left hand side of the hub originally and vice-versa. No one here thought of that here ...

    Brakes won't bleed!!

Assuming you didn't drain all the old fluid, before putting the new stuff in ... any how. If you did, you've made the job 100x more difficult, as you've introduced air into the system. You may have to cycle the ABS pump too if you have done that. I believe you'll need vagcom to do that. (VAG...

    Halfords Oil

The majority engines that have suffered from sludge have been run on Quantum .... and long life service intervals. Most oils are the same - Look at the base stock and the addictives. Quantum Synta fully synthetic gold is rated at SAE 5W-40 API SJ/CF, ACEA A3/B3. In fact the Halfords 5W-30...
