Had the oil changed on my S5 sports diff today even though my indy said the diff is sealed for life. The RS5 sports diff needs an oil change at 58k miles so I see no reason why the S5 shouldn't be the same.

Your existing tyres are the wrong width, you should have 255/30R20. If you want a thicker sidewall you will need a smaller wheel in order to keep the tyre circumference correct.

I can't even get a discount if I fitted a tracker of some form of physical deterrent such as a steering lock as LV tell me these devices make no difference.

Has there been a marked increase in 6 year old Audi S5 thefts recently? According to my insurer there has been and they have written to me ahead of my renewal letter advising me to be prepared for an increase in my premiums.

Had the service done yesterday at the local indy. Inspection service plus spark plugs and brake fluid change was just under £500. I asked them to check the poly v-belt and replace if necessary but it wasn't done so must be OK. Does anyone know the service interval for the sports diff, I forgot...

I was expecting a much lower indy quote in comparison to an Audi dealer. I've tended to use indy's for my Mercedes as they are quite a bit cheaper but if this is not the case with an Audi then maybe the dealer is not so bad after all.

My 2014 S5 is due a major service so I had a quote from Audi dealer and one from an indy. The Audi quote for a major service, replace brake fluid and replace the poly v belt is £725, the indy quote is £650. I'm surprised the indy quote is so close to Audi's, does this sound right?

Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited or Laser are very good. I have had them on 2 previous cars which I sold after 3 years and had no issues with prematurely blowing bulbs.

Why is it so hard to find out on line what items need replacing and when? I cant find any info on line and even my local Audi indy can't tell me until they have the car in front of them.

Thanks. I believe the use of copper ease is to reduce brake squeal, at least it used to be, but none of the video's i have seen have mentioned it.

I bought a set of Brembo rear pads and discs from Eurocarparts 50% off sale. I have Carista so i can put the EPB into service position and looking at some Youtube vids it looks pretty straight forward. I noticed that no one uses copper ease in the videos, is this not a requirement?

Just checked on Carista website and it does open thd EPB for servicing.

I don't have VCDS or ODBEleven, i do have Carista so i will see if thag will deactivatd the handbrake. Looking on ECP, i was thinking of getting the Brembo pads.

My 2014 S5 had its yearly oil service today and the garage noted that the rear inside brake pad on the offside is 90% worn so I need to replace all the rear pads (disks are ok). I would normally change my own pads but not done the Audi before so anything I need to be aware of before I start...

Your S5 was a fantastic car and the RS6 is even better. I'm sure you already know this but but make sure you tighten up your security where you park the car as these cars and thief magnets unfortunately.
