They are separate part numbers and there is no need for the dealer to update the firmware - so probably not. It seems like Audi don't like upgrading firmware unless there is a 'reason'.
Depends on the dealer though....
OK, you need to 'obtain' firmware _770 (or _783). As you have BOSE, you'll need to be careful to manually de-select the BOSE update, otherwise component protection will kick in and require a dealer trip to fix.
One installed, you need to use VCDS to access the green menu and enable NAD mode...
Yes, you can download 770 (or later) and do it yourself. Do you have BOSE?
If you upgrade it yourself you will need VCDS to enable the green menu and then use that to enable the 'data from SIM, calls from bluetooth' option.
You need a SIM or a phone that supports rSAP (not an iPhone). And if you get a SIM then you need at least firmware 770 to be able to use the car SIM for data and your iPhone for calls.
This is a difficult one - I don't think a dehumidifier is going to help much because the antifreeze won't evaporate (easily), so won't disperse into the air. Contiuous cleaning/diluting is probably a good move, but you have done a lot of that already.
I think I would be looking for professional...
