I do that quite often especially in the mornings,it might sound stupid my train of thought was with the 1.6 box doing 70mph it sits at around 3.5/4k revs, so what i was thinking was with a 1.8 box it might do 70mph with less revs and ther for save more fuel if that makes any sense

Ye thats makes sense really,was just an idea whilst i would have the box off changing the clutch but guess the old saying "if it aint broke dont fix it" applies here lol I could always add a go faster stripe and see if that helps! Lmao

Ok thanks for the advice, im not so bothered about accelaration but more top end as i do quite a lot of motor way miles so would be nice to have a bit more up top for when i need it
