S3, Great bit of kit... (and build thread...sort of)

I thought I would close this thread out by showing what is to come next. A bit of a suppose to me but there you go, everyone loves a change. Before I make the reveal I had something else in mind, that being a B8 RS4, as it turns out it didn't wow me quite as much as I expected, don't get me...

S3, Great bit of kit... (and build thread...sort of)

End of an era, start of the next. She's gone off to a new owner who I have no doubt will look after her very well. Keep your eyes open for her, sure she'll be seen on here again.

S3, Great bit of kit... (and build thread...sort of)

Quick update. Will be transfering the private plate off her tomorrow, she'll be going on Piston Heads next week  . Had hoped to sell within ASN community but I guess anyone on here is probably already an owner.

From stock to stage 2+ where to go ??

Couldnt recommend TTS Roadsport enough. They're not a million miles from Leicester down in Bedford. They took me from stage 1 to where I am today.

    Pagid blue pads

I can only assume that the construction on the pagid Blues is somewhat different from that of their OEM supply pads. No brass rivets on the 9 sets I have sat in my garage. Some down to near their backing plate and I can see anything untoward.

    Pagid blue pads

Never used them on the S3 but used them extensively over a period of about 6 years in different light weight race cars. Superb pads, possibly the best I have ever used (in this specific application), they make DS2500's feel wooden in comparison, brilliant consistancy but only up until about...

Two new interesting tyres for 2016

Interesting to me to see Michelin have reverted back to a design closer to the PS2 than the PS3

Opinions on alloy colour on lava grey a3 sport back?

Have to go with soot1 on this, lava grey look ace with bright silver rims. See page 1 of link below. Stunning http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/the-rimz-thread-look-here-before-requesting-pics-of-specific-wheels.93198/

    Alloy fitment

All I can offer is that my 2007 pre-facelift S3 rims are 7.5jx18x112 ET56 and my post-facelift rims are 7.5jx18x112 ET54. Quite an offset differential from yours, cant say if its to much or not however sorry

S3, Great bit of kit... (and build thread...sort of)

As I'm on a winter go slow on the mods + the fact I'm spending all my pennies doing a bare shell resto on my 1971 Beetle I dont have a lot to report. I am planning my next moves with regards to seeing how far the TTE can take me...and beyond which all being well should start about mid March. I...

Clutch, DMF & Service in Wiltshire, reccommendations please?

I used to live in Royal Wootton Bassett and that point I used Dialynx. They did a clutch for me and looked after my car for about 6 months. I know that doesnt sound a long time but they did a lot of upgrade work in that period. Suppose the main thing here is that they are still a fair way from...

    How high is your mileage?

2007 S3, 406Bhp, 82K and still rock solid. Preventative maintenance and change oil at least twice as often as Audi recommends. Find a specialist garage you trust.

**SUPPLY OF 370MM DISCS - POTENTIAL GROUP BUY**

[sxQUOTE="Craig-P, post: 2639141, member: 103620"]No one..? If I remember correctly Mike (parts request) our own site sponsor can supply these for £260 a set. Don't quote me but might be worth checking.

WellyCooler Vs Airtec / Peron / Pro alloy intercoolers

All good coolers there and you would have no problem with any of them. Also for consideration is the Wagner. If I remember correctly the Wagner and Pro Alloy have similar sized cores and are slightly larger than the others listed, both would serve you well on TTE420 setup.

    S3 clutch

Same experience with Sachs organic and standard LUK DMF, all good and presently holding 397lbft torque just fine. Slightly heavier pedal but nothing worth mentioning

    S3 with higher miles

When I spoke to spec a few weeks back they recommended stage 3+. From what they said the 2+ will take it but it's pushing it hard.
