Having now used it in a few rental cars, while it's a nice to have it's definitely not something I would pay extra for.
New VW golf will have them now too on some models as standard like the Tiguan.
Not for a couple of years but thinking cayman. Need to get a Porsche out of my system.
Wife's A1 will be changed next year and thinking maybe MX5.
Audi's are getting a bit over priced me thinks.
A4 interior has the nasty stuck on tablet a-la Mercedes.
A3 rising screen is so much nicer.
Both have the same quality feel, A4 perhaps edges it because of the alloy/wooden dash options.
It's all about traction for me when pulling away.
I do struggle now with FWD cars and need a few times to re-adjust to stop wheel spin.
It's either AWD or RWD for me, but I doubt I'll ever go back to FWD.
Example please?
It would only be an idiot who would buy a s/h car after a year that's only 10% cheaper then when new.
...and auto trader backs up my statement of 20%

Can't say that I like it.
It's gone from a balanced and handsome looking car to now just a way too angular looking front and a rather, overly heavy looking lower body kit.
Only plus is the virtual cockpit but I'm sure that will not come cheap.
I'm happy to keep my S3 another few more years and...
Sorry to hear this mate.
Not what you want to hear but the problem is they'll most likely be back again to steal the brand new ones.
Happened to one of my neighbours not to just one of his BMWs but both. They got done twice each within the space of a week so that's four sets they made off with.
I'm a TT to S3, would I say regrets, perhaps no.
Better no, different yes.
I had a 211ps s-line quattro with magnetic ride.
I do however miss the steering feel of the TT as it actually had some!
...oh and it did handle far better.
If I were still an "enthusiastic" driver I would regret it...
Quality or quantity....
Digital radio is shocking in quality mainly been mono and at less than 80bps.
FM is the only option still outside of London.
Not enough bandwidth is given for DAB so broadcasters forgo quality and stereo to cram more channels in :(
I get a lot of admiring looks from white van drivers eying mine up. I guess it's the sepango and the fact it's a HB and not SB.
Not having mono.pur helps a tremendous amount too because I'm sure if I had it they would look at it with disdain and think 'show off' :tongueout:
I think it's working it out based on the average MPG. Mine would get a range showing 390 miles and I could get a decent 20-30 miles before it moved. My average mpg was showing under 32 mpg but now that it's now over 32 the range now shows 425 at every fill up which is more realistic.
This morning around 8:15 M40 Eastbound on the uphill section J3 Loudwater, Brilliant Red A3 HB must have been doing more than 100 mph chased by a BMW 1M :wtf:
I've seen enough accidents on the motorway over the last couple of weeks, I don't want to see another....
Of the TT range the TTS surprisingly appears the 'best' value as it's pretty well spec'd.
That said I would not buy one as I'm no longer convinced on the looks. The mk2 is still the better looking car. The mk 3 at the front is just too odd and all the slightly squared off lines just don't flow...
Price, engine, quality and timing.
While not exactly my first choice of car, the exorbitant price of a new Mk3 TT and the wait for the new TTS to be released swang the S3 in my favour.
No disrespect to the S3 but it's just a "stop-gap" for me.
Sepango HB, Heathrow northern perimeter road. Today around 5pm.
Then silver A3 saloon, on m4 spur northbound
Sorry was in the wife's A1 so wouldn't have been spotted back...
