    That's correct, there's the 1.8 or 2.0 for 2015 and the Sportback 2.0 TDI on its way according to some sources. The options packages are different too from what I can glean from some of the conversation here.

    Good point, but my crackling is in very specific cases so that's where my conjecture was coming from.

    It's a great option and I am sure there will be a fix at some point for it. It sounds like a digital crackle so chances might be good that it will be a software fix.
