Its not really about the corners cut as they are obvious, its the solvents in the spray wrap that have affected the paint beneath, also i dont mention products because its just not cricket, however there cant be too many options when it comes to spray wrap.
Didnt take it as a dig fella.
Not going to try and poach work off Jim but if you dont have any luck guys I am moving into a new unit at the beginning of July just off J30 of the M1, like i say give Jim a chance to get back to you, sure he's busy and will probably have a shed load on his detailing platter. Having said that...
depends mate....if they go through insurance....quite a bit but they may get a low end repaint of the panel for about £150 maybe less but your not guaranteed its gonna be any good....if I were to do something in dark grey and around 10inch long I would be looking at around £100 with a 90%...
A bit far for me to come, although i do a lot of travelling for detailing but you could always take a look at this that i have put together....Scratch and stone chip removal.... - Detailing World
wouldnt go with any Zaino product in these temps unless you are applying it indoors...whilst it is a superb brand and i use it myself it doesnt fully cure in temps below 8c....stick with Colly 476 and when it warms up get a kit of Z2,ZFX,Z6 and Z8....that lot will cost about £50 but will see you...
Search for vehicle detailing mate...everything should be explained on a detailers website and it will also give you an insight into what work is involved....also if you do go down the pro route, dont just go for the ones that are cheapest...not saying get the most expensive out there but there...
I have just done Bez101s Focus St with Permanon...with it being a protection I very rarely take any pics but he may have and may post some up...it does look special....
I dont mind travelling mate and I have just signed up to Ceramishield which has just been approved by Audi technicians....I also have a technique for stone chips as well....if you are interested send me a PM
Colly 476 is a must for winter but it will more than likely remove what you have underneath it to a certain degree....over waxing isnt really necessary just a waste of product as each layer effectively removes a part of the previous layer...2 coats or primarily done for coverage and to ensure...
Right mate if its textured then as John says leave out a polish....for plastics that are stained I have found that Einzett Intensive Plastic is the gaffer....not only that its cheap as chips mate as well....
Russ
John the lower part of the S3 bumpers arent textured...its the smooth part I think the OP is referring to....like the grey area on the one below....
Is this the area you are talking about mate....
some pics would be a great help but I think i know what you mean....if you have something like Lime Prime or Super Resin Polish they should remove it but may give it too much of a shine as its supposed to be a sort of satin effect....also if you have some clay give it a quick claying, this may...
It was a shame but done my fair share of free adding for companies now and got very little in return, and 2 of these product manufacturers are now massive or becoming that way....so no more freebies from me....good look to them but they have very little by way of products as its been the same...
