This sounds interesting, sorry I don’t have any answers for you though. At the risk of stating the obvious, have you sent these questions to the supplier/manufacturer?
Given the lack of response, I may have to bite the bullet and get from the dealer. Although I am not certain its the mirror at fault, could be the wiring.....
Fair enough. I’ve ordered some Ring ones, 3700k so should hopefully match the LED DRL’s and xenon’s a bit better.
Also, just looked in the manual, clearly shows H7, so my bad! RTFM!
Bump.
Heating has just stopped working on my drivers side mirror, and it also has the auto anti-dazzle feature. Did anyone ever find a place to buy these? Plenty on eBay which are heated, but none that I can find with the anti-dazzle as well.
I have a B8.5 with Xenons, and the little lights that come on below 19mph when cornering/indicator on. I think one of the bulbs may have gone, and is throwing up an error. Does anyone know for certain what type of bulb they are, maybe H7? Cheers.
I have sports seats and agree they offer no lateral support for me (tall but skinny). I’ve got a couple of naff stick on pads that help a bit, but really not a good solution. I guess the seats are more suited to those with a larger build.
There isn’t a specific Allroad manual, just a page in the regular one.
Also, see image for recommended winter tyre and wheel size, although I was lucky enough to find a set of 18” Allroad wheels on ebay and use those for my winter tyres. Make sure you get the correct offset, (26 I think) for...
I believe it just ‘slackens’ the traction control to allow some wheel spin, rather than just cutting power completely to a spinning wheel, therefore should be more likely to get you unstuck.
I was just going off what it says in the manual, which I don’t have to hand. If you don’t have the...
Indeed, tyres make a LOT of difference in this weather! And yes, in the Allroad at least, it puts it into an ‘offroad’ mode if you disable the traction control, allowing some wheel spin so you can keep going. Never really had to use that yet though.
That’s not good.... do you have winter tyres on? My Allroad seems pretty unstoppable in the snow, but wouldn’t be so confident without the winter tyres.....
Sounds like ABS to me, you should also feel it through the pedal.
On a similar topic, I thought I had a flat tyre yesterday as the car was shaking at speed, then realised the wheels were all out of balance because of the snow/ice build up on them!
