Charge pipes have small amounts of oil, turbo was rebuild only 12k ago but it does have a hard life so maybe it time for second rebuild, or hybrid time :-) if it still smokes be stem seals I guess, thanks for replys.

Hi guys i have a a3 running revo stage 2.5 and have recently fitted a decat pipe and since doing this it smokes quite bad on idle not blue smoke/oil just smells normal. any ideas wat can be causing this thanks

did mine fron top, just remove exhaust manifold, undo the 4 bolts on the flange, oil and water pipes and the supporting bracket bolt lift out from the top, thats the way i did mine, took me bout 3 hours os so in total to take 1 out and put new one on

i took mine to a alloy welder near me, cut off and blanked were the dump valve should go and welded a 8mm nipple to the other side, pressure tested and it holded 30 psi fine all for the sum of £15, job done

just changed my k03s, after i broke my other k03s, i found it easyer to take manifold off instead of dropping downpipe, took me about 4 hours in totaly from start to finish, so much easy with the manifold out of the way as pipes and everything is so much easyer to get to, also a good idea to...

on idle it the rev needle sits fine then after a few secounds or so drops to around 800 then picks back up does this every now and then but is bugging me now, car is fine to drive no problems nothing showing on vag com, so was wondering wat it could be? thanks
