did the problem get fixed ? I had a similar problem on my a3 and it got progrssively worse and the fix was an injector part (after going round the houses and being told different stuff by different mechanics)

it was a red handheld one I nicked it from my mates garage dunno what he specific machine was but the machine never specified the specific fault on this occassion it just said cylinder 3 misfire anyways it's sorted now just brought an a4 cabrio so now gotta sell the a3 am sad to see it go !!

by way of an update it was one of the injector parts and managed to get it fixed... didnt cost too much either as it wasnt the whole injector!
