Took, the changer apart - Was quite fiddly as the laser isn't fully exposed so I had shuff loads of cotton/wool buds in the gap with some spirit on there. It did the trick and the changer is now playing cd's :-)

Hi Guys, Just wondering if anybody has come across an error displaying on the dash for the CD changer as ERR1?? I googled it and the results come out to be faulty head or laser head out of alignment? Was wondering if there was an easy fix rather than chomping out for a replacement? Thanks :-)

Hey Nil. I checked the petrol cap and there's no leakage there mate. My temp sender seems normal - always stays bang on 90. Is the CTS mounted on the stat? Is it a separate part? I had the problem before and I got the code cleared. It's now come back so it must be a dodgy sensor or something??

I've had the same problem before with my S3. Turned out to be 1 of the wheel sensors was foogard.

Got the car back a few days ago...It was a snapped coil spring. Had a new VAG fitted, all sorted now :-)

Thanks guys. Strange thing is that I had the drop links changed last year, both of them. Maybe they've gone again. The car is still in the garage, hopefully it should be ready tomorrow. Will post the problem.
