Thanks Gavin0478, I would agree that the standard brake arrangement on the 3L TDI is the best I've experienced compared with other similar powered cars. The reason for cross drilled brakes was for aesthetic purposes - sad really.

Thanks Cockney Boy, I've booked in with the local dealership tomorrow morning. Apparently the whole MMI system has to be reloaded. All I was trying to do was get the AC settings to appear on the MMI screen!! Now its going to cost me £97+VAt/hour to fix...my own fault I suppose.

I've been quoted around £750 for a recon turbo including labour. Thats from an Audi independant garage in West Mids. That is for a 2.0TDI. I have been told that Audi main dealers will charge btween £1400 to £2200 for a new turbo. Regards, Matt
