Hi,
Can anyone confirm if the removal technique described here is applicable to the VW Golf Mark V? The Haynes manual describes a much more convoluted process including draining coolant, accessing via the front wheel arch etc?
Thanks in advance
Jeff

My 2005 Golf GT TDI recently started logging this V157 error and hitting upon this thread, via Google, has been a great help. Following a few weeks gathering information, and today under the bonnet, I thought I give a little back with a summary of my experiences and a few new images.
