Thanks everyone, but panic over, found the spare key.

So, some conflicting replies, can I buy a new key , say from eBay ( like the one in the link above ), then get an auto locksmith to program? Anyone actually done this ?

Hi, we have 2011 a4 avant black edition, but we can't find our spare key fob anywhere, I know you can buy new fobs off eBay, but would these work and how would you program them to your car ?

My wife got her letter yesterday, it's a 2011 2.0tdi Quattro black edition 170. The car runs fine, gets good mpg, has passed its first mot ok, out of warranty, so why bother with the recall ?? It's always been serviced by a good vag specialist ( never Audi ). Is it compulsory to get done, or...

I,m going to look at a 02 plate A8 4.2 Quattro with a notion to buy, it as done 97k and as some history. What should I be checking, for instance, when should the cam belt have been changed ? Any thing else I should watch out for ?.

These were on when we bought the car new, have covered 28k before needing replaced, and have been fine. Can be a bit tram-liney under certain undulating road conditions, but in the main a very competent tyre and probably good value for the money.

This is my wife's car, bought new, which I am sometimes allowed to drive :yes: We came from a S3 P8 to this, as we had bought a caravan so needed something to tow it with, but as it turns out we have never needed it for towing :ermm: and we could have kept the S3 :banghead: It's a 2011 A4 Avant...

Managed to get a couple Pirelli P Zero Rossos (255 x 35 x 19) fitted at Kwik Fit for £426 all in, they even did a price match when I found them cheaper else where, saved £50. Result ! Thanks for your replies.

Needing new tyres for my 11 plate Sline black edition 170bhp Avant, Pirelli P Zero on it from new, now done 27k, wondering wether to stick with the same or try something else / cheaper. Cheapest so far is £220 fitted. Any recommendations ?
