All working, getting a pro at taking the airbag off now!! The metal strip that activates the horn was bent so was constantly touching the terminal.

Checked all connections earlier tonight and they are fine. Not sure what to try next, might need to try old steering wheel back on just in case there is loose wire in the flat bottom wheel. (don't think this will solve anything as all other steering wheel buttons and paddles work)

Managed to get the steering wheel changed over today, fairly easy job in the end. However my horn no longer works. All multifunction steering wheel buttons and paddles work, just not the horn! Not sure what it could be, I checked the fuse and it was ok. Any ideas on what else it could be? No...

You shouldn't need to remove the grab handles, (well i didn't when i fitted mine) the side bit should just push in.

To release the clips, one needs to be pushed in and the other needs to pushed to the side. If you look at your new pedal you will see what i mean. Also a long narrow screwdriver is needed to catch one of the clips as it an awkward angle.

Got my 1.8TSFI S-Line (Black) about 3 month ago and can't fault it in any way, apart from it likes to wheel spin.... (I'm sure it's just my driving) or that's what I found going from a A3 Quattro to front wheel drive. Enjoy
