    Yeah the car it chipped but ist been switched of for weeks so i dont think thats the problem. Ive checked all the wiring to the coils an it seams to be fine. Im kinda hoping when i put vag com on it and clear all the codes it will go away but i dont think it will.

    Yeah i got the works full service kit, belt, water pump, crank pulley bolt, tensioner, rib belt, Last owner said he got a mechanic friend to do it all but im doin it again anyway to be safe...Dont even wana think about concequences of a broken belt.... 20 valves to grind in!!!! no thanks.

    Hey there, I just bought 01 s3 at the wekend and the cam belt needs replacing fairly soon. Im a mechanic but i was just wondering has anybody changed one themselves before. Id be greatfull for any tips. Looks like a tight squeeze. Is there any locking pins required so on. Thanks Folks.
