i need to get the timing belt done in 7000 miles so im halftempted to be lazy and pay someone to do both at the same time. not doing anything in this ****** snow though!
just been to look at it, aux belt has snapped. just how easy is it to replace?
luckily for me its broken down a few hundred yards from a friends house so i could possibly limp it to his place.
no torch in the car an was too dark to see anything.
going to go back to it in the morning so will look then. is hte alternator belt easy to see?

yep, had the same thing myself the other week. got the ignition control module from GSF for £60 ish quid (£169+vat from Audi) swapped it over and everthing is golden again
how did you get around the airbag warning light?

all fixed. ICM replaced and now back on 4 cylinders. been driving the wifes seat arosa diesel to work for the last couple of days, going to be lovely to have the audi back :)

just got back from having my 1996 t sport MOT'd and now is idling really bad, sounds a little like a subaru. but ive got no engine warning lights

ive just been out to check the oil on my T sport and ive managed to snap the yellow plastic guide that the dipstick slides in to.
