I’ve had my RS3 for just over a year now. I’ve had the oil changed at 3000 miles and on a reasonable run on A and B roads managed 36.5 mpg over 77 miles which I think isn’t too bad. My Golf R would get up towards 38 mpg over similar roads. How’s everyone else’s doing and does it get better with...
We had a Kinetico water softener many moons ago but was advised not to fit in the last or current as we have a main presssure hot water tank and it’s not good for them. Do you have a main hot water tank? I’d love to put one back in our home as we have hard water too.
I agree Mike I think it looks about right as it is and it doesn’t t catch low curbs or speed bumps. I did look at the MSS adjustable spring sets but for what I want from my car I can’t justify the expense. Eibach do 2 kits sport and pro I think they are called and lower somewhere between 20 & 25mm.
I had my RS3 coated with Titan ceramic and a hydrophobic coating on top to help keep it cleaner when driving. I’ve been using AutoSmart snow foam but have recently changed to Bilt Hamber touchless snow foam and in my opinion it’s takes more of the dirt away without having to touch the paint. I...
I was half an hour into an hour journey and had just gone over some rough road surface but the car was warm. I always drive with the AC on so I don’t think it could be the same, could it? I’ll see if it happens today on a shorter stop start multi meeting journey. Thanks for your input.
On my way to a meeting today mine sprang a new series of faults, no Audi pre-sense, no headlight adjust no adaptive cruse control and something else (I can’t remember what). I stopped at the meeting for a couple of hours and all is well on my way home. Anyone else have this happen?
Yesterday wasn’t particularly cold so I started my car and drove off straight away, what I noticed was that I was 4-5 miles into the journey before the restricted rev limit was lifted and the temperature gauge started to rise. Anyone else noticed this?
I have mine on AC all the time and when cold it takes an age to clear. I’m amazed that Audi don’t offer the heated screen as an option. I had it on my Golf R and would clear within 30 seconds.
If anyone watched the Saving Salvage RS4 build he explains it quite well in that it’s the time to get the parts rather than the parts themselves. He was told that the carpet would be a month or two and came in 10days, I think. If the insurance company was paying for a similar hire/ loan car for...
I’ve got the AP Design on the front of mine and nothing on the rear. I have to say I wish I’d bought both as the rears wheels do cover the rear bumper. I’ve had it ceramic coated and all is fine at the moment but I do worry!
I have the service plan on mine and having just done a shade over 3000 miles I paid to have the oil and filter changed when they did the electrical connection recall at a cost of £284. I still have the 2 services which will be in 2024 for the first and maybe 2026 for the other.
Had my recall done at Hereford Audi on Thursday and an early oil change. Signs up ‘do not clean’ and sure enough it came back exactly the same. The loaner for the day was an A8 which I have to say was a lovely ‘waffty’ ride. My eldest now wants one!
I know I’m reviving an old thread but has anything changed in the 4 years since this written? I had my car ceramic coated (the first time ever) and find that it’s easier to wash and keeps cleaner for longer. I’ve been using Auto Smarts Duet, as I had some in the garage and have just ordered the...
I think you will need to press the ‘view’ button on the steering wheel and you can then select the options you want to see on the screen. I maybe wrong BTW but that rings a bell for me.
Top research again @8YARWY as all appears Ok at the moment and a fresh tank of Tesco’s finest is in the tank I’ll see how I get on and perhaps get it looked at at service in March.
Typically I start my car, then open the gates. Drive to the road and close the gates which takes 4-5 mins. I’ve got about a mile or so to the main road and keep the revs low. By the time I hit the main road the self inflicted rev limit has risen but not all the way, a couple more miles down the...
