Mine used to do this, I say used to as it was one of a list of faults that Audi couldn’t seem to fix so I just got rid of the car in the end, earlier than planned.
Glad I did, much happier with its replacement.
I just sold my A6 C8 after having constant software issues and rattles. Really took the shine off what was otherwise quite a nice car. It was my second Audi, the last being an A6 C7 which was faultless.
I’ve always liked Audi’s and would have bought another if it wasn’t for the experience I’ve...
Same experience I had. Big part of the reason I can’t be bothered to take it back again. Happens so rarely and always starts second time so its just a minor annoyance at this point.
That’s my worry. I’d like another Audi, the last one was very good, but the issues with this one are putting me off. Another year at least before I need to make a decision anyway.
Happened again this morning where the car didn’t start first time. Started fine on the second attempt. Was hoping it had magically cured itself as its been a while but obviously not.
Has it happened again to any of you who thought it was solved after battery/sensor replacement etc?
That is very worrying.
Mine is still yet to do it again but always a worry it will. I’ve also had several rattles ‘fixed’ on mine but its still rattling away.
I told Audi I’d film it the next time it happened but as I say for some reason it hasn’t done it since. That sounds like a good thing but I’m sure it’ll do it again at some point as nothing was fixed and now theres several people reporting the same thing.
my central locking is also noisy...
Mine was doing this, had it into Audi about a month ago and they also couldn’t find anything wrong with it.
It hasn’t done it since, despite doing it once or twice a week before going in. I did however take it on a long motorway run at the time, maybe that helped.
