Same for me, I never have to re select Google earth, it just loads up every time after a minute or so, even if I haven't used the car for a few days.

Got it working on my 2016 A4!! Nvidia MIB2 Just needed to do the adaptation in 5F to turn off remote_HMI. As a result it has removed the Audi Connect icon from the MMI, but GE is working! Hopefully it stays working.

I have 2 USB ports under the armrest, on newer cars there is one near the 12v socket. If I'm taking apart the console to change the engine start button, it could be a good time to retrofit an extra USB port at the same time. Is this possible? Even if it was just power and not data?
