    Rust Forming Already???

Yeah will wait and see the response first I guess. Maybe he would've got it done 'mates rates' if the job is that terrible so not too hopeful! I don't suppose I have any right to say anything to the selling dealer? A little annoyed that they sold me the car like that and the first owner managed...

    Rust Forming Already???

Just thought I would update. Went to the dealer today who took photos and measured the pain thickness. They said it's actually really bad and they've never seen something like that before. I asked what would happen if I didn't repair it and they said it would likely spread to the whole door...

    Rust Forming Already???

This does not sound good... ahhh damn! Yeah it was from the Scotswood one as far as I can remember. I'm not very confident though that they will do anything. When I bought the car the wipers were completely gone and they wouldn't even sort that, not very hopeful for a door! Perhaps it was my...

    Rust Forming Already???

Ahh I see. So if it's been resprayed then I am out of luck? I would have thought that if this was the case then I would be in good shoes because the dealer sold me the car like that and they are supposed to do their checks etc? My apologies if I am not correct.

    Rust Forming Already???

So the dealer will likely measure the paint thickness and if it's too thin then I will have a chance? Because just to update I haven't heard back from the dealer yet. But all Audi UK said was that it will only be covered if the rust starts from inside to outside. Don't really have high hopes

    Rust Forming Already???

Damn 10 years old and they still contributed, that's not too bad. Mine is just turned 4 years old so a little surprised Is Audi really this fragile!?

    Rust Forming Already???

Thanks for the responses guys. Car was bought used from an Audi dealer. A bit upset. Had a problem with the door which I had to sort myself. Then a brake servo, now this. It's only been a year and the car I bought to make life easier just seems to be causing more hassle! Will hopefully gather...

    Rust Forming Already???

I would've thought similar but I haven't applied anything like that since I've owned it. I don't suppose I am left with many options do you think?

    Rust Forming Already???

Hi All, Just a quick question. Noticed the following 'bubbling' of paint on the rear passenger door. Not sure how long it has been there as vehicle is mainly used by me as a single driver. Can't have been long though, just had it in for service and warranty work very recently and didn't see...

    Servo..

Well good news - both items were covered! Very glad and car feels great now! In the notes they said "G608 pressure sensor fault" if that is of any help to anyone. Dealer also did say that there was no error message on dash when they took it but said it was good that I took the picture and...

    New member A4 B9 Ultra

Congrats on the new purchase - hope it brings you lots of joy. I also have a b9 ultra - red. Have owned it just about a year now! Leather seats for me are great especially when doing long distances and they are v comfortable compared to the normal cloth ones imo. They do need to be cleaned...

    Servo..

Hello all, Similar issue but not sure if I will be very lucky or extremely unlucky...! Actually driving to Audi dealer this morning for potential warranty work on Bowden cable for passenger door. 35 mile journey on motorway. Message 10 mins in saying "Brake servo restricted - you can continue...

    2020 Tyre Dilemma 245/35 r19

Ah many thanks. Not worried much about noise since I am on motorways mostly anyway with some tunes ahaha Will see if I can get Michelins on offer soon, otherwise will consider another one of these alternatives I think :)

    2020 Tyre Dilemma 245/35 r19

Glad too see this thread as I am in need of some 245/40 R18's v soon as well. My priority is Wet grip and tyre wear. I think I will go with Michelin PS4's because the wet grip is fantastic. Costco had a deal on which just expired so I will run my tyres down to the limit and hopefully it will...

Advise on purchasing a second hand b9

Hey, I don't think you can 'purchase' an approved used warranty - I think that's why they encourage to buy from inside their network (plus they make a better profit!). Perhaps enquire if you are able to buy an extended warranty? I am sure the dealer will find something if you pull out a credit...

Advise on purchasing a second hand b9

Hi. Not sure if you bought it from an external trader that you would get any warranty etc (would be dependent on them entirely and how that trader operates, but most likely a general thing not for your car specifically). Obviously it's not essential, but nice to have incase something goes...

Advise on purchasing a second hand b9

Hi, recently bought tdi with 41k (approved used) so can only answer Q2 and 3 2. I don't think it's an issue tbh. Mine was the same, it's probably reassuring as it implies motorway miles so less wear and tear on other components. Depends how long you intend on keeping car. You can change it to a...

Facelift New headlights, erm, why ?

I totally agree. The 'old' model looks so much more sleek and aggressive (but just the right amount). If I saw that old model on the top lane of the motorway in my rear view mirror I would move over no questions asked. The facelift though, if I saw that in my rear view mirror on the motorway, I...

    Tyre Wear and Warranty Work!

Sorry for the late reply, this just got me curious now actually. Same tyres all round. Genuine AO marked Michelins 245/40 R18 93Y all round. Pressures checked frequently from fuel station air machines (done on first trip to ensure cold temperatures as much as possible). Passed the MOT fine. In...
