yeah I did check but the carpets didn’t get so wet mainly the seats (metal that the floor was cleaner than the contact points). I think it was just that the car was locked up over nights very damp and cold. Not saying it should have done what it did but it does seem to have been the cause.

Found it it’s under the front dash behind the relays, the rail they are in I clips and then the three plugs come off and the unit slides out. Mine was fine.
