My b6 cabriolet had the same issue with similar codes. I also split the siren box with thoughts of putting in a new battery. In the end I bought a second hand siren off ebay and its behaved perfectly since, no random alarm triggers but it goes off when it should.
Worth noting the same siren...
My front wings are getting very crusty due to the normal rust on the arches. I have been keeping my eye open for second hand replacements but it's Misano Red Lz3m so they don't come up often and when they do they are already rusting.
I would happily buy new and get them painted but I can't...
Can't help solve your issue but if you decide to consult a garage try A H Automotive just down from the Pie Factory. They are a Vag independent specialist and very reasonable prices.
I would just wedge the clip back into the channel in the correct position and slap some araldite on it to hold it in. Once the trim is bolted back in no one other than you will ever know.
Just had a look on oemepc.com which is my go to for part numbers. It does not show a clip in the parts list and suggests the chrome surround is secured to the lid by a number of hex nuts. This would suggest the clips are integral to the trim.
Part number for the chrome trim is 8h0853297a. I...
Despite what Audi state the rear screens can be bonded back in when they start to separate. Mine had gone on both lower corners. Repaired it about 18 months ago and no issues since.
The green will come off just takes some hard work.
The Autoglym spray actually covers really well direct from the bottle if you use a sideways motion as you pull the trigger. I do wipe it across the roof afterwards to make sure it is all covered.
Probably worth pointing out my cabriolet lives outside all year round. A garaged car would not...
The key is normally in the car already. Open the panel on the drivers side end of the dashboard. The key should be in there. The key I'd the red object in the second photo. Rotate it away from you then pull it out.
Thoughts on the roof not working. Are all your windows working correctly. Is the...
All sorted. Fitted a new matrix today. Now have a loads of heat in the cabin.
For anyone else who tries this whilst the matrix fouls on the brake/clutch pedal bracket it will come out. I used gloves with rubber palms to get a good grip then just kept pulling/wiggling it until it came free. New...
The pinch bolts on the front upper arms tend to be seized into the suspension upright and are an utter pig to remove.
I only did the lower arms on my car because I could see the bolts were seized on the Uppers and the upper arms were OK. I will have to do it at some point though. You can use...
That arm kit looks too cheap. Very similar to the skv kits I looked at for my cabriolet which had the wrong arms in. I used a febi bilstein kit which was around £250 and was very happy with the quality.
Bottom hose gets hot but top one is cool. Suggests it is a blockage in the matrix.
Have tried to get the hoses off at the bulkhead but they are stuck on. Will order a hose removal tool and have another go aylt back flushing the matrix next weekend.
Dropped the glove box and found all motors functioning correctly.
Test run established I get partial heat over 40 mph. Engine temp is spot on so thermostat is fine so I suspect a blocked heater core.
Only question now is flush it or replace it.
1.8t 2005 cabrio.
I have spontaneously lost the cabin heating, just blows cold air.
I am about to go out and drop the glove box to check the heater flap motors but as both sides have lost heat I don't expect this to be the problem.
Bypassing the cabin temp sensor by putting climate control...
I have a 1.8t cabriolet so slightly heavier car and only 163 bhp. Around town I see high twenties, on the motorway low forties and an average around thirty. My right foot is not made of lead but its not light either, I definatly enjoy the car.
I put a block of wood between the rear deck and the bottom of the roof to raise it slightly and take the tension off the canvas.
The clamps are applied to the outside only. The were surprisingly strong given how flimsy they feel before they are under tension. They are bulky so spend some time...
I used this guide to do the rear glass on my wife's cabriolet last year. I used a slightly different clamping method.
Ebay or amazon for suction clamps, Sealey re006 box of 6 will do both corners at the same time.
You can put strips of wood or metal bar between them to improve the grip. I put...
What have you tried to restore them with. I wet sanded mine starting with 600 grit and worked up to 3500 grit then polishing compound. They came out really well and transformed the look of the front of the car. Took just under an hour per light.
Looking at images the a6 headlight lens are flat...
