Excuse my ignorance, but is there an allocated fuse in the fuse box you could just pull and do the rest that way if reluctant to disconnect the battery?

You may want to try your next run in auto aswell and see what kind of mpg you get. I can honestly see no discernable difference in mpg between efficiency and auto mode in mine; and with the recent software upgrade the car is relearning my driving style and it does feel that it changes up...

Another thing maybe, if you haven't done a long run for a while, it might have been trying to do a dpf regen so running at higher revs than necessary?

That does seem low mate, perhaps the cooler weather had an impact? In my 50tdi on 20's I'd comfortably expect 48mpg on a similar run.

Yep quite normal, I've got used to opening the boot half way on wet days and letting any collected water drain off. Not ideal having to work round a design flaw on an 'expensive' car but you get used to it.

I agree the gearbox is an acquired taste, but no different to tiptronics in previous models. I don't find the engine noisy at all, and actual has a decent noise once warmed up. This is always subjective and down to personal preference, but yes absolutely make sure you try it out first.

Hi, I have about 4k miles on the clock, around town I get 30-35 mpg, but that's with 15-20 mph average speeds. Motorway journeys average 55 mpg, normal driving not nanny state. Range after fill up for me personally is indicated between 500-600 miles, standard tank.
