I can't say how thankful I am for that response, it quite literally solved 90% of my problems. the reason I am doing this is because my dash is giving me an oil pressure warning light. I was told to firstly change the filter and oil + flush the oil system to get rid of as much sludge as...
that's actually a REALLY interesting diagram, I'd love to know where you can access something like that. Only trouble is, that isn't the same engine as mine which is a little worrying, mine has 2 tubes with the same adaptor as the pipe on part #25
Oh God no I'd never run it like this, my next question is how can I find part numbers for these? Google searching seems to be giving me a thousand different options for what is apparently the same part
Hey, my friend thought it would be funny to pull off random tubes on my engine to, and I quote, "see what happens'. In doing so he has managed to snap one of the tubes as it was as brittle as glass. Has anyone got any idea what they do, where they go and how I can replace them?
Thanks - Connor...
Hey, I'm trying to access the oil pressure sender to check my pressure, and have ran into a fairly major issue. I'm assuming (with my very little knowledge) that it is located close to the oil filter which seems seems to be embedded quite literally as deep in the engine bay as humanly possible...
Hi, I bought this car needing a new water pump for a stupidly low price, I've replaced it plus a few other bits and I am now looking to sell it. What should I be roughly asking for it?
Audi A4 '53 2.0 FSI Automatic
New timing belt
water pump
tyres
plus 12 months MOT
Thanks for any help :)
Hi, I'm just finishing off replacing my water pump and timing belt, but trying to replace the transmission and water lines on my radiator has halted me in my tracks. Trying to get the water lines off took me half a day and a LOT of swearing, so there must be a technique to getting them back on...
You don't have to tell me twice... having to step around parts that should be able to be taken off, but cant... It just gets in the way. Oh well, for the money, who am I to complain
I bought my Audi A4 B6 2003 2.0 FSI for £250 from a scrap yard, I just saw too much potential to let it be crushed. Having gone from, what i believe to be, useless over-engineering of Volvo's, I was shocked to find out just how user friendly these cars are.
The car was delivered the next day...
Have taken the covers for the timing belt off, and even with little water in it, i can see water dripping out of the bottom of the "gear" so to speak. Sound to me like its 100% the pump. Thanks :)
Hey guys, I bought an Audi A4 B6 from a scrap yard, only being told that there was "a leak" from the engine. Me being brave, decided to buy it (why not for £250), and have stripped the front end of the car to find the auxiliary belt and where I assume the leak is originating. Some pictures are...
Hi, I have just bought an A4 2.0 Estate, knowing that it had a leak coming from the engine bay, and that is all i was told. I have taken the splash shield off quickly, just to see if it was anything obvious like a split pipe, as water is POURING out of the car. The water seemed to be ending up...
Got the car back, found out there is a LOT more wrong with it than just a water pump... Low oil pressure, water leak, airbag dashboard light... might have been a waste of money now :grey:
Just bought this for £250 because it has a leaky fuel pump, heard they are a bit annoying to change as you have to dismantle the front of the car, but still... £250!? gotta be worth a go.
If you have any advice about issues or common problems, please let me know, thanks :)
