Thats what I'm planning on doing. I've just picked up a cheap aftermarket dpf, going to hollow it out. And if it fails mot I'll bolt the original one back on just for the retest.
Ok, thanks for the reply, but mine is 2.0 tdi quattro, not 3.0 litre. That's why I was hoping the 2.0tdi fwd ones would fit. I seem to get conflicting information everywhere :/
Hi all, are the (front) driveshafts the same on a 2.0tdi front wheel drive as to the quattro? I've a feeling they are but was hoping someone could confirm. Thanks
Seems to have stopped the noise now, guess its worn the teeth right off :/
though theres still a gushing sound for a second after I turn the engine off.
Cant decide whether to replace it or delete it. Anyone recommend a mapper in the south east?
Hi all, the egr on my 2.0 170 (brd) has started making a horrid grating sound. Would I be right in guessing its stripped the teeth on the cogs for the movement?
Suppose that means a new one?
Actually found time to sort this out today.
Reading the torsion value using obdeleven it said 2.26° so I adjusted it the way I thought it should be, and it went to 5.99° oops
Few more tweaks and I managed to get it onto zero. Drives like a new car now, idles really smooth, less laggy.
Will...
I'm unsure of when the timing belt was last done, so it's one of my jobs 'to do' during Christmas time off.
Funnily enough I was going to post about this before your reply, I've got myself up to speed a little on these PD engines, and managed to get the 'torsion value' checked, which is...
Thanks for the replies I've continued to search this, I've found a fair bit about injector seals & bolts and also the tandem pump seal.
I guess my biggest fear is if it's an injector going down and the damage it can do. I've not had it on vcds yet, been let down on that by the looks.
It's just...
Hi all, hoping to you guys can help me out a bit.
I've got a 2007 a4 2.0 tdi (170 BRD engine) with around 170000 miles on the clock which seems to have somewhat of an intermittent misfire. I doesn t always do it, and when it's right up to running temperature it's fine. There's no engine...
It never used to, but I haven't put on through MOT since the rules changed in May. Supposedly now a vehicle that is fitted with a dpf from factory is not allowed to emmit smoke of any colour.
My car that I'd deleted it on blew up a couple of days before the mot, hence why I'm now an Audi owner...
I keep thinking of having mine done (2.0tdi 170)
I had my last care done and it totally transformed it.
With the so called 'change in the rules, I would guess it would be best to have a hollowed out dpf chamber in place, and in case of an mot failure maybe have a complete dpf to bolt on just...
