Does anyone have any reviews or experience about FCP X-Rod for 1.8t engine?
They advertise them as 1000hp/9000rpm rods and "pauter" style.
Im thinking of playing safe and buying "name brand" rods for my build
They are 500€/set so not bad but are they worth it?

They are suitable for 350mm disks.
Can I fit those to my 1999 s3 and well im noob with brakes so can I use smaller disk or do i have to use the 350mm?
and if so, wouldnt 350mm be bit overkill?

My front headlamp adjuster rod is missing and my lights show up to 5metres which is basically no lights. Can anyone give ne length of Rod do I can build one fast? Can not drive in dark cus lights dont show far and Im in hurry to get them fixed

As it seems my s3 might be running soon, my crappy daily drive a3 has AGU angine in it.
Mileage is around 260tkm with engine I has served me many years without problems and still pulls good until 1.2bar and turbo runs out of juice.
I was thinking to bore&stroke to 2.0 with great forget...
turbo return line bolts to oilpan with 2 bolts, well ofc the other thread is broken, it tightens a bit then turns loose again -_-
Im afraid to leave it on its "tightest" and just hope the best.
Now popped to mind that maybe use gasket silicone on thread or bolt lock "glue"
Or just screw helicoil...
My turbo with this exhaust manifold(I cannot really recommend anyone buying this anymore) sits too close to firewall.

I got GT2860R with 5-bolt > V-band adapter and it is quite long so I need to rebuild whole dp for it

I have recently acquired badly knocking (sounded like diesel on idle) APY engined S3.
After taking engine off from car and opening oil sump, the oil pan was filled with copper/aluminium looking pieces.
3rd conrod end had turned to black and engine did not turn easily, not very big surprise...
