Thanks … I’m glad one of knows what we’re talking about , it’s appreciated. Is this something an independent specialist should/could do. Audi Newcastle have been so poor i’m loathed to take it back to them. I’m assuming one doesn’t update firmware from home.

Got this issue on our 17’ s4 too. Happened in the cold snap before Xmas assumes it was just frozen, happened to the wife two days ago and she snapped the internal release .Booked into Audi to have another “I’m sure this should be break on a 25,000 mile car” argument.
That was the point I was making to the dealer. Either you would make it so it lasted more than 18,000 miles or that it would be easily replaced. If not you would be stripping the car every year for some people.
Just had exactly the same issue. Both rear mounts split on a 17 plate with 18,000 easy miles. Did you get any satisfaction from Audi? They wanted £250 a corner. It seems excessive amount of wear to me?
I seem to rembering hearing somewhere that ABT modifications (I assume through some deal) don’t affect your Audi warranty.
However the easiest way is to email Audi and/or ABT and get clarification in writing. I’d also be curious to know.
No experience of the ghost system however I imagine it’s not going to take long for Audi to connect the dots (real or not) from a 3rd party electronic system and your eletrical faults. Unfortunately this would be precisely what would invalidate a warranty, have you tried contacting Autowatch or...
