Surprised by this, I've just had my first set of tyres changed after 23,000 miles at about 2.5mm on the fronts - do a fair bit of motorway miles but definifely don't drive Miss Daisy the rest of the time!
Cable ties were what I was thinking, but I'm not sure how people fed them between the little slots in the top left? Is it a case of removing the glovebox?
Went to Rob at Dominion Detailing - highly recommend him (he's doing 20% off everything over £100 at the moment too!)
Making me jealous I didn't have the pennies to spring for the pack with the red details that!
The last couple of interior pics are from when I got the coating done, which included the seats... Any suggestions on leather products that will remove the mirror-like shine?
Installed a Blackvue DR650S-2CH today.
Didn't get around to fitting the power magic pro to go with it yet, but was looking for suggestions as to how people have mounted these? Ideally I'd like to put it in the glovebox so I can change the settings easily, but I'm not sure how to fix it in...
Picked up my S3 earlier this week. It's been in getting a ceramic coating since then, so had my first chance to drive it properly/take some pics in the dying light today.
My car is arriving at the dealers this afternoon. Wishing I'd waited until later to go in and sign the paperwork so I could have maybe had a sneak peak at the same time!
It's going to be a long weekend waiting until Monday to collect it!
The tracker is a cruel form of mental torture, no doubt about it!
It seems to be pot luck how long your car ends up waiting on trains/ferries/transporters, so fingers crossed yours won't take as long as mine.
In the end its taken about 4 weeks from leaving the factory to reaching status 40 today. The three weeks with no updates while it sat at Emden were the worst!
Status 40 as of this morning.
Also had a call from the dealer asking me to stop in to finalise the paperwork, and said we can check when the car will be delivered while I'm in. Should be within 7 days though apparently. Getting excited now!
That's great, thanks. It's been at Emden for over 3 weeks which have dragged by so I'm happy for the progress! Will get in touch with the dealer tomorrow, didn't know you could do this to help speed things up
Just been having a look over the status codes and my car might be further along its journey than I thought.
It changed to status 39 on the tracker today. Can someone confirm for me if this means it's on a boat as I thought, or whether it means it has already arrived in the UK?
I'm hoping...
At last! Glad to hear you finally made progress and it's on it's way to you. Make sure you claim that crate of Möet when you go to collect it and hand back the A5!
Mine is also on a ferry as of today :yahoo: Keeping my fingers crossed it has a speedy journey across the channel and up to...
Good knowledge, thanks! Though unfortunately not what I wanted to hear.
That's insane that it's been sitting at the dock for over a month! Have they forgotten about it or something?
To be fair I'd rather have a loan car than the Moët, otherwise I'll be without wheels from the 20th if it...
This is what I'm worried about. I'm supposed to be getting delivery in less than 3 weeks and it's creeping up fast! Seems like some people are having some luck getting info via live chat with Audi so I'll maybe have a go at that tomorrow.
My S3 has been waiting at Emden for about a fortnight, and I'm trying (and failing) to be patient. Can anyone help me out with what ports/ferries to look at for cars that are being delivered to Scotland?
