Does the car ‘judder’ when u turn it off? Like it turns off in a hard/aggressive way if u know what i mean. Either the el part is gone/or the oil went through it to the electric part or just needs to be cleaned. Usually while driving this should not make the car shake/judder. Just once u turn...
If its on idle and acceleration it could be injectors (dont know the eng word for diesel inj sorry). If its a PD inj system u will hardly find the problematic inj. via diagnose(computer) since parameters arent rly accurate for it. I had the same problem, firstly it would judder only at full...
There were some cases on newer passats with the same problems. Not releasin when driving away. Allways intermittent. Bad connection at the connector. Replacing connector and pins solved the problems. U can check if the part number of the hall sensor for clutch position has a ‘newer’ part number...
The dash is not removed. Its basicly the passenger compartment and a few minor plastics to access the el. heater( sry but dunno the eng words for it). Its a pretty straightforward job so shouldnt be any issues with squeeks/rattles etc.
Plenty of cars recalled so far, as i know. a4/ a5 and q5 only i think. Basicly the el. heater is replaced and basic setting redone with odis. Some have a climatronic (08) update aswell.
Cheers
Just as an info, for maybe why the garage said u must order the whole inlet manifold. When i was buyin a new one for my a4, when searchin etka for this part, it showed it only as a part with the inlet manifold. Only when entering the part number, it showed the part separately and it wasnt even...
If it sat for a longer time check visualy the engine bay, i had quite a few ppl where mice ate a few bits while the car sat for a while. Just an idea.
Edit: usually its the vacum hoses

If it was leakin then check all the wires inbetween the body/boot. Over time cable's break on most cars in the boot, inbetween doors aswell, if the water feed was leakin then it goes even sooner. Dont remember from head if u have the cable to boot on both sides or only on one though. Just remove...
Just for an info, maybe u know this allready, but once the car is off and locked, there's a certain ammount of time for all the 'controllers' (dont know the eng word for it sorry) to fall 'asleep', 5min-10 min(some even more). If u start measurin before that, you will see drainage from smth that...
If the car doesnt start after 24h then u have a battery drain for sure. The alternator is fillin good for sure? Don't know from memory but it's worth checkin if the b8 had the info for battery drain/management/history on the vag tester, either vcds or odis.
For the code im 100% confident, its...
As far as i know the code doesnt rly have to be the one u have on the battery. U can type in 10 zero digits for all the car cares. The point of this is that the battery management knows the battery was replaced.

The yellow triangle will light up at every notification. Even if u need to top up the washer fluid, the yellow triangle will come up. Comes up any time u have any message/notification on the 'car' option from the board computer.
Cheers
