Hello Everyone.
Hopefully someone will be able to suggest where to start with this one.
Driving my A6 2006. Got to a hill, put the parking brake on. Went to pull away as normal and the car just lit up like a Christmas tree, flashing red lights. Handbrake did realise.
The Car went into limp...
From what i have read the turbo will bolt straight on but there are a few 'easy' mods like modifying the oil drain pipe and possibly the the top of the downpipe. Also all the 3.0tdi have an electronic actuator so you need to fit the the vac um one off the old turbo. I have seen that a few people...
Thought i would update this tread just in case someone had the same idea or troubles as me.
Its best to get the pump overhauled, part numbers must match exactly. Im not sure the reasons why maybe someone on here may know more but i caoul not work it out.
The car is now running, and its run...
Thanks for your help, im hoping you might be able to help a little more as the problem continues.
I had an electrician with vag com come back up and plug in the car, this time i ended up with fault code showing no communication with the pump. Scanned the live data and it was showing signal...
I have read a lot of Chris Adams post. I was hoping he would help but I think he's gone dark since may.
Anyway I bit the bully and bought and fitted the 180 bhp all road pump. Car is still not running. Had the pump coded into the car with vag com. Used a 12v fuel pump plumbed into the fuel...
Im hoping there will be someone on here that can help me answer this question.
I bought a 2.5tdi audi convertiable non runner for a bit of summer fun. Main fuel pump is the faulst, i had sent the fuel pump ecu for repair but its dead.

Im hoping there will be someone on here that can help me answer this question.
One of the grand plans i had for the car was soem more BHP once up and running. Now it looks like its having a re-con fuel pump. Can i / am i best to source one from a 180 quattro. They have the same ecu number but...
BBA looked at just the pump ecu, apparently damage to the board and can't be repaired. You are right, it would be a recon pump and ecu for £650.
I was hoping so one on here might know more about swapping the fuel pump ecu's. I know you need the cars immo pin to code a brand new ecu. from what i...
Right then, i was hoping to be getting my fuel pump ecu back repaired by BBA. Apparently there is nothing they can do, except charge me £60 for the privilege of looking at it.
The question is what to do next.
A: order a second hand pump for £200-£300 and hope it lasts.
B: Bite the bullet and...

Taken off and sent off for re manufacturer, hopefully should be considerably cheaper than having to replace the whole fuel pump!
