To be honest that sounds about right
My car (A6 AVANT 2.0 TDI 2013) has averaged 42mpg in the past year and I mainly do shortish journeys. On the motorway at 70mph it sits in and around 45mpg
The DPF systems on modern Diesels seems to reduce MPG compared to the older generation. I would...
Its not an easy Job, I had the same with my 12 year old Audi A4 and managed to get one out but the other side didn't want to move when trying to turn it so I disconnected the top side of those arms instead
I had bother with the RHS of my A6 and found that once I got the bolt knocked through a...
The suspension is tricky enough on Audi's
The front pinch bolt is usually the biggest hold up, I use a bit of wd-40 first to try and seep into the bolt, then if needed a bit of heat but it takes a bit of time and patience.. and rocking the bolt back and forth until its free enough to start...
This is what I used, after the mould is finished it is possible to pop the moulded shape out of the mudflap.. it shouldn't be a problem as the skirt will hold it in place but I glued it back down just to keep it tight...
Your right, Audi didn't seem to make mudflaps for the Prefacelift S-Line. The facelift mudflaps fit but there is a gap between the outside edge of the skirt and the mudflaps, so what I did was test fit the mudflap and used some tape to mark and close off the gap left.
With the shape that I...
I have been on this forum for a while and previously owned a B7 A4 Avant Quattro, k04 modified to 320hp
This is the replacement and is a low mileage 2013 Daytona Grey C7 A6 Avant, great car with more comfort than the A4 just not quite as fun to drive
While that may be partly true, it's not so much the case with my car as it has only had the k04 upgrade and tune for a few months now so the car has not been abused. It was also completely standard when I bought it and very well maintained
It's also just a turbo upgrade with supporting mods...
Just to update this thread, after an unexpected chance to have a company car I have put a for sale advert in the classifieds to see if there is much interest.
I had not planned to sell this car but there is a chance for someone to own a very well sorted TFSI A4 Avant for a fraction of the cost...
I made up custom alloy boost pipes and got them tig welded to suit my front mounted Intercooler. The DV flange is welded onto the boost pipe before the throttle body.
After a successful trip to Galway for tuning, the Audi is now making 325bhp on 97octane fuel, it's a pity we can't get 99octane or it would have made closer to 350. Torque was well over 300ft.lbs and on a realistic Dyno Dynamics rolling road
The power delivery is very smooth and I couldn't be...
He can map anything, not just Jap cars and does a seriously good job, attention to detail in his mapping and customer care is why I drive 5 hours each way to Galway
I have been getting my cars tuned at AP-Performance for around 4 years now
Not sure to be honest, I like the idea of the Team Dynamics 1.2's in 18x9 et35. Mainly because they are the right shape, size and offset, they are light enough and better made than any of the other 18x9 wheels I have came across without going with a forged set
But then again the wheels on the...
Your right there is always a compromise of looks vs practicality, both sets of wheels look well on your car. The forged OZ wheels must be pricey!
The wheels on my car are light enough as they are flow form cast which means then can be cast lighter but stronger, but I keep having the notion of...
