Thanks. I've also found an oil leak coming from the vacuum pump which is where the ticking is coming from. I've read on another forum that they JB weld the pipe on that leads to the brake booster. That's seems like a quick fix for the chattering/vac leak but the oil leak needs fixing first. So...
