I’m assuming they checked the ecu for faults ? It could be a faulty sensor which is trimming boost.
Actuators aren’t common to failing but it could easily be your issue at that is what holds the boost whilst squeezing the loud pedal.
If I were you I’d take a trip to Rtech as they are...
I have this on my stage 2+ S3.
Anything that improves airflow will always improve power, especially if you push your car to stage 2 and above.
You’ll also hear more turbo noises due to replacing the turbo muffler.
Just this one modification on its own won’t change the driving experience too...
