The switch is actually down by the handbrake and it tells you in the DIS as you toggle between the two settings. I have it on an S3 and a TT and love it. It only became an option on the S3 with the mid 2008 A3/S3 facelift.
I'm running Bluefin on my 3.0tdi A8 and am very happy with it. I've previously used DMS who are great but expensive. Bluefin is very handy and the Superchips service has been excellent so far.
Well you have the best tyre you can get on it. S4's came with the Pilot Sport and the Conti Sport Contact 2 IIRC. Nothing wrong with the Dunlop - ran them on an A8 and they will be cheaper. Remember to get 'Extra Load' rated tyres.
Well the diesel V8 is about 150-175kg heavier than the petrol V8 and its all over the front wheels which is bound to affect the handling a lot.
Alternatively was the petrol V8 car equipped with Adaptive Air Suspension Sport and the diesel one with the regular Adaptive Air Suspension?
Try phoning up an Audi dealer to 'sell' an R8. I think you will find that the bid will be below the cost of the car (incl options). Bear in mind that these cars typically have £10-20k of options fitted.
How frequent are you meant to do this? My three year old S4 is getting a bit smelly so probably time. What does an a/c service involve over and above a re-gas?
That's a good price.
Trade on a three year old saloon is c£20k so a 2.5 year old car with low miles and some warranty left for £23k is good value. Two questions, though:
1) What is the spec? Low spec cars can be hard to shift;
2) Is the dealer's warranty any good for the period after the Audi...

Ditto but my 03 S4 was more accurate than the two 04 S4's I have had.
