Oh right… mine wasn’t on a card to begin with. It’s stored on the unit in the glovebox I think.
There’s a whole load of stuff that you have to do to patch the unit so it’ll accept maps beyond your original cut off date. It’s definitely not as simple as just copying some files to an existing card.
Got this working on an S3 8v 2014 with MIB1 Harmon (MHIG). Was stuck on 2016/2017 map, but now have 2022 (from the VW site). :)
Firmware (software?) also updated from 0383 S1542 to 0404 K1549.
I've been in contact with Graham Swinburn, Service Director at V-Hub Service Ltd. and the person behind the Facebook post shown at the start of this thread.
I asked him to clarify what's included with the kit and he in turn has been in contact with Revo about it.
Based on what I've been...
There are 2 horizontal metal supports that become visible once the glovebox is out. One will probably have a tracker on it, the other is perfect for the module.
I was only having a look at ODIS engineering, not the service one that does the online / guided bits.
I guess I was hoping someone here would have access to maybe look that kind of stuff up, if such a thing is even possible?
If it isn't, I'll ask them to look into it next time it's due a...
After running into an issue with my retrofit reversing camera module, I had reason to delve into the world of OSIS (The VCDS of Audi dealerships).
Having had a nose through the flash update files for the various modules in my car, I came across a newer one for my 0D9300011R TCU module...
Nice update to the guide Jungle :) Love that you added you'd spent ages trying to get the boot release out and I did it in about 3 seconds! haha
Hate to nit-pick but I had a quick look and spotted a couple of bits that aren't quite right to do with the fusebox.
There are *3* tabs you need to...
Yeah but it's all I could find for anything related to the 6C module.
There are lots of hits on Google for reversing camera and that security code. Figured it was worth a shot!
Do you know of one that would go with the A3's module?
How are you testing so many codes without running into the issue where it blocks access for 10 minutes or whatever?!
That reversing camera module I had that wouldn't code just kept rejecting the 22351 code and locking me out from trying others. Now I wonder if it was new enough to be using a 6...
Unless there are CAN connections in the boot too, you'd still need to (extend+) run those to the front anyway... Along with the video feed from the module - the lead that came with mine was only about 1.5m long and it has the little pin sockets on it to push into the 12 way plug. I'm sure they...
I think my earth point was iffy... I'd already tested it for continuity, but I've moved it now and we have lift off :)
Now I have another problem... haha!
When coding the 6C module, it must be new / have been reset as it's all zeros currently.
If I fill out the appropriate boxes in the long...
Ok so I'm stuck :(
Having told the car I've got a back-up cam installed, I can't then go into the module and do anything with it because it says there's been no response.
It's getting power ok and I'm pretty sure I've done the cam connections ok... what else could it be?!
