Facelift 2018 RS3 Fixed Sport Suspension?

MagneRide is standard for you guys? In Germany we have to pay extra for the adaptive dampers and the stock suspension is the fixed one.

Facelift 2018 RS3 Fixed Sport Suspension?

Do I get this right? On the RS3 pre Facelift there were 2 options: standard suspension and MagneRide The facelifted Model will have 3?: standard -> MagneRide -> Sport Suspension? I'm using MagneRide mostly in the "auto" setting and let it do its work. Going to upgrade it with MSS Spring Kits...

    AO09 NNN Audi RS3 Project

Aoon_Ms picture shows 245/30/20 which have a 90y loadindex. I know that you don't live in Germany. I'm just saying those would be illegal to drive in Germany because our bitchy as heck TÜV would not let them pass. Because in the cars technical thingy it says "91Y loadindex".

    AO09 NNN Audi RS3 Project

Would be illegal to drive those 245/30/20 in Germany. The tyre loadindex needs to be at least 91, those are 90. I bought the new Pilot Sport 4s in 235 all around. The MPSS in staggered sizes caused ESC flickering and was annoying.

Ferodo 2500 vs mx72 vs endless ccrg

No really. Try pads first. Discs might be overkill. I mean yeah if you use discs and pads you get an even better brake but do you really need it? I talked to several guys which use their RS3 or TT-RS on the Nordschleife regularly. On of them used nothing but the OEM disc with Pagid pads on his...

Ferodo 2500 vs mx72 vs endless ccrg

If you're planning on tracking your car bro, then yes I would switch to other discs. But since I'm using it only on the road the oem-discs are sufficient. The root of all problems with the RS3 brakes are the pads. Same goes for the new TT-RS 8S. Even the RS3 8P and TT-RS 8J work with the...

Ferodo 2500 vs mx72 vs endless ccrg

I talked to a German Revo partner and he told me that those revo alcon discs can be used with the OEM pads. He didn't tell me about any other pads. I'm going to stay OEM-disc and using StopTech Street Performance pads.

    RS3 Saloon/Sportback pre-sales in March 2017 - delivery starting July - Official

Old: R134a which is being used in the current RS3 and the "40 Years 5 Pot Edition Thingy TT-RS". Bascially what Audi did was relabel the HEA's (the cars which get ordered by the dealers and have a specific spec. For example Variant1: Red with adaptive dampers, Variant2: grey with 20" wheels...

    RS3 Saloon/Sportback pre-sales in March 2017 - delivery starting July - Official

The problem is basically that Audi is not allowed to use the old refrigerant anymore. The old refrigerant is bad for the environment but can sustain high temperatures. That is not the case with the new refrigerant they're working with. Its better for the environment but it ignites too fast in...

    RS3 Saloon/Sportback pre-sales in March 2017 - delivery starting July - Official

Some people say that those pictures surfraced on the web quite some time ago. (A few months ago) But keep in mind that the coolant issue is only a problem in EU-Countrys. (Germany especially) Coolant Problem is known since like November or something.... In any way it was know before 13th...

No it doesn't. But since that picture probably predates the coolant problems it is possible that those dates are not correct anymore.

Those pictures are pretty old and predate the problems with the coolants and such. On our German forums we are pretty sure those dates are not correct anymore.

    Carbon brake cooling modification

Thats what it lookes like underneath the RS3. I think the vents won't be as effective as they're at the TT-RS. I don't know whether there is a good place to put the vents. Maybe in combination with something like this? http://i39.tinypic.com/2a4pkyx.jpg

    Carbon brake cooling modification

Read about that on vwvortex.com . I'm interested to see what the resulsts will be when you fit the GiroDiscs! Although we 8V owners need to cut away some plastic underneath to make those vents work isn't it?

Post Pics Of Your 8V RS3's In Here

Yes I use wider front tyres because I think the Quattro GmbH knows what they're doing. HRE told me that it is possible to use Vredestein Ultrac Vorti R in 255 on the rear axle as well. But I didn't find any reviews of the Vredestein and wider rear tyres are contra-productive in my opinion. You...

Yeah I also feel like the pressures are a little high. But as you said, the sticker on the drivers door says 3bar (43psi) at the front and 2,7bar (39psi) in the back. Those values count for the Pzero. So I adapted them and asked Michelin which pressures they recommend. I'm careful with that...
