I know it's nowhere near where you live, but the Audi dealer in Stoke retro-fitted cruise for £260 inc VAT. This was about 6 months ago.
Edited to say that it took them about 2 hours to do on a Saturday morning.

Just thought people might be interested - won't bother next time.

Sorry David R - it was too late last night for me to get that! I was being a bit slow!. No offence taken.

Well you'll all be pleased to know I've written some stuff on another some what larger forum that could potentially be very irritating if the wrong person reads it... but hey ho if the **** in question is going to lie about his identity I feel I should post it one one of the largest...
3 litres!! Is that all!! No wonder I'm refilling so often.
Recently, with all the slush and salt spray, I run out after 2 weeks - 50 miles per day on the M6.
The wife's Corolla's bottle must be twice the size of that! (Hope that doesn't sound dodgy?)

Dik, my mate from up the street has a 2.0 s line dsg and he gets around an average of 35-40mpg.
Chris.

That seems low for the 2.0 TDI?
According to the DIS, the lifetime average for my 2.0 FSI is 38.3mpg.
Surely the 2.0 TDI must average more like 45 - 50mpg?
I must say I've never had to refill my windscreen washer bottle so often on other cars before I got my A3.
I seem to be re-filling every 2 weeks at present.
The A3 has either got a very small bottle or the washer jets use a lot of water per go.
Have any of you found the same thing this winter?
I know Audi-Sport.net is very friendly and good natured, but it's worth taking a look at this very important piece of case law:
Linky
It's always worth bearing this in mind before saying anything too excitable on cyberspace.

Colour is a very personal thing - for cars as well as other things.

I know what you mean David. My favouirte colours are pink or brown, it's always a tough choice!
I've just Googled those Goodyear Eagle GSD3 F1's - I really like the tread pattern - looks cool!
As my rear tyres have got loads of tread left, I don't know what to do.
Would the handling go a bit weird if I put F1s on the front and kept the original Michelins on the rear for the time being...
I'm after some advise please:
1. My car is serviced according to the Audi Variable Servicing thing.
The computer says the 2nd service is due in 5600 miles time, which will bring the total mileage to about 37,000miles when the service is due.
I had a postcard today from the stealers, saying...
I used Smith Knight Fay at Bolton for the 1st service and I had no complaints.
I bought the car from SKF Bolton and they also sorted out, under warranty, a leaking air con drain pipe (drivers footwell was wet through) and flaking laquer on an alloy. I found the service manager to be very...

i cant prove the tuner did it, so naming and shaming is out of the question (I cant afford the legal battle)

Fair enough shao_khan.
I wonder if he ripped his own mum off? I suppose he must have done - why else would he have done it?
Mods - would this thread really get removed if shao_khan named & shamed the dodgy tuner?
Any one of us could unwittingly let this crook work on our car. Surely it's best that we know which places to avoid?

With reference to the 20% discount for United players, I take it you bought from Lancasters?
[/ QUOTE ]
Sorry, I should have re-read your original post.
For everyone else not from Manchester, Lancaster Audi is no more than a 45 seconds drive from Old Trafford (provided that a few...

Adamr, we managed to get almost 14% off the list price which for Audi is a pretty good discount I think.

Thanks for that cd8, 14% is an amazing discount off an Audi. This time next year I'll try my luck.
With reference to the 20% discount for United players, I take it...
