    Boot lid problem/accident

Thanks for the picture man, I took a few pictures of mine yesterday: It looks like similar spacing as yours but bear in mind I have removed the spacers between the hinge and the boot lid to bring it down. And here’s a picture of the gap around the right light cluster and the right side of...

    Boot lid problem/accident

Yh man they came unpainted. I fitted them with my dad but it still sits wonky. The original hinges don't like bent or different in any way to the new ones. The spoiler is still higher than the roofline and the whole boot lid is sitting further to the left. We tried adjusting the alignment where...

    Boot lid problem/accident

Could the area where the hinge bolts to the body of the car inside the roof maybe have been bent? Of course I can't exert the amount of force on the hinges that they may have gone through but they look pretty strong. That's a good idea I haven't actually checked them yet. I'll disconnect them...

    Boot lid problem/accident

Thanks for the pictures. Here are a couple of mine I just took. It’s hard to tell though. If only I had a spare hinge to compare. Are those two red bolts the only thing I could loosen to see if they moved out of place? If they’re bent I guess there’s no hope of realigning it anyway...

    Boot lid problem/accident

I know right :( The hinges look ok but I don’t know how they should look so I’m not sure. Could it be something really bad and hard to get to? I’m praying it’s an easyish/cheapish fix.

    Boot lid problem/accident

Hi guys, So I went into my garage with my boot open and I panicked when I heard it hit the garage door and rolled back not knowing it was hooked and I’ve bent it back and it now doesn’t sit flush with the body. The boot locks fine but is totally out of place. Any ideas on what I’ve broken and...

    Brake problem. Advice needed.

UPDATE: PROBLEM FIXED On the recommendation from @Retroman to check my pads for delamination I found one front pad was severely worn close to the metal. The other pads were unevenly worn in their respective pairs and when comparing left wheel to right wheel. Maybe the previous owner didn't...

    Brake problem. Advice needed.

I'm guessing that you don't recommend EBC brakes? Ha. Yeah definitely I understand it may or may not be what you are suggesting but as you say it's better to check the small things first before forking out the money. I'm going to check them tomorrow to see how they are. I've never jacked the...

    Brake problem. Advice needed.

Before ADI my pedal was fine. I think I noticed it during my second session, although I thought it was just because they were getting hot and fading a little. I'll know to keep an eye out for it in the future.

    Brake problem. Advice needed.

Thank you for that much appreciated! I just did a quick search on what delamination of the brake pad is as I didn't know this could occur. Is there anything to look out for while driving that could point this out. Of course getting the pad off would be the best way to check but I can't do that...

    Brake problem. Advice needed.

I took it to a garage, the guy said he bled it from the calipers, I shall ring them and ask if they bled the master cylinder also. If it is the ABS pump would that need to be replaced or bled? Regarding brake pads I haven't had them changed no. Did what you are describing happen when the...

    Brake problem. Advice needed.

Hi guys, I'll try make this as short as possible. I went to ADI and did 3 track sessions. During this my brake pedal went long and spongey and has stayed like it. I've had my brake fluid changed 2 days ago but this hasn't helped restore the pedal feel at all. The garage I took it to said I may...

Audi Driver International 16th September 2017 (Discussion Thread)

Well you learn something new every day, I didn't know how the boiling temps worked. As you say then its not really worth the extra money. So is the dry boiling temperature kind of useless when it's removed from the can? No I haven't seen that and would definitely not consider it unless I was...

A guy from the facebook forum recommended Motul RBF660 which has a 325 dry boiling point and 204 wet (compared to the TYP200 280 dry/198 wet) according to it's specification on OpieOils website if you wanted to look into that.

Yh getting it done Monday. Bought some ATE TYP200 brake fluid. Does anybody have experience with it? I was recommended it from a facebook forum. My brakes are standard as is my whole car bar a Badger 5 TIP, BMC cone filter and it's remapped at 240bhp/236lbft. Yh i had 3 sessions in the...

I had smoke from my fronts also. The pedal is still really soft and has a longer travel though *thumbs down*

My brakes don't feel the same either, the pedal needs to travel longer before any braking force at all. I think the fluid has boiled. It was well worth the track time though!
