Have always found it bizarre when people treat RS3s like this. It's entire purpose is to be a practical, daily-able performance car. I love the car but it's not the type of thing I'd only bring out at weekends to go for a drive down by favourite road, it's a do-it-all performance car.
I have...
Mine was exactly the same, first owner for 9 months or so was a Director at Audi. So you get a well-specced and well looked after car in exchange for one extra owner. Fair trade-off for me.
This is how I got my car. Ex-Director cars are generally very highly specced, although mine was actually advertised for sale it was when the FL car had just come out so they found it difficult to shift. Got it for a very very low price.
OT The best place to get cars in generally Audi dealers...
As others have said, if you can avoid buying from SSC then do so. Also, try to buy from the South as there's far less chance they've been used as rentals and ragged heavily.
Yeah, they're great drivers and value is pretty easy to predict. Could own some sort of Cayman S or R and sell it for the same as I bought it. My dream would be a 964 Carrera but a very different ownership proposition and nowhere to put it right now.
This is quite an interesting topic, as it depends on a few different things. It is totally illegal to not display a front plate and have it on your dashboard, however if you're driving around in a Murcielago the police are quite unlikely to stop you for not having a front plate, unless you're...
I've only had my 7 months and still love it, all the car I need for now. Far more likely to add a second car, probably a Porsche of some description, than change the RS3 any time soon.
I'd say if you're going for a 2 car garage then why do you care about the practicality of your fun car? Cayman is without a doubt a better car than any M2, and even beyond BMW very few cars can match what something like a 981 Cayman GTS can offer.
No, I only have one car and the RS3 ticks more boxes than the M2. If I was only going for one single sports car it'd be from Stuttgart and have a flat 6.
I can't say I've ever experienced it unless it's in S mode. In S it can be very jerky around town but I can't say I feel or hear any big noises. In D it's fairly smooth.
That's fair. I don't really like the look especially when Catalunya isn't in the sun, it's a bit of a dull colour. I only really like the alu pack on Panther or Mythos as it gives a good contrast. Black on black is a bit much.
As others have said, it's a bit of a marmite colour and you need to see it in person to make your own judgement. It's a very light red, almost orange. Looks great in the sun but we don't get a huge amount of that in the UK so not a colour I'd personally choose. My old car was Tornado Red which...
